Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables, ensuring optimal splicing and connectivity performance
Set up and configure network equipment including.
Conduct cable pulls, mechanical installations, and routing of low voltage cabling in various environments
Use hand tools and testing devices.
Perform fiber splicing with precision to maintain high standards of signal quality
Troubleshoot network issues related to cabling, hardware failures, or configuration errors during field service visits
Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, test results, and system configurations for project records
Qualifications
Proven experience as a service technician or field technician specializing in telecommunication or networking installations
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, and low voltage wiring
Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and network hardware.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle hand tools effectively in confined or challenging spaces
Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex cabling or network issues

Pay: $23.93 - $28.82 per hour
