Lead Engineer - LOCA & Containment Analysis
Job Description:The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analysesGeneral expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniquesTake responsibility for fuel project activities including reload analyses, methods implementation, power uprates, new fuel introductions, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issuesPerform in cross-disciplinary settings, engaged with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, or other affiliated organizations to find optimum customer solutionsPrepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customersProvide technical mentoring to support team development and knowledge management, including procedure development and adherenceDevelop/deliver training course offerings in support of external commercial requests, as well as for internal audiences for knowledge management, and knowledge capture and transferLead team process improvements to drive speed and simplificationEnsure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standardsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or universityMinimum 3 years of experience in T-H Nuclear Plant Safety AnalysisExperience in ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and Reactor Internals Pressure Difference analysesM.S.
