Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Climbing Instructor at Alford Lake Camp in Hope, ME. Responsibilities include leading and overseeing climbing activities, teaching climbing techniques and safety protocols, and ensuring the well-being and engagement of all participants. The Climbing Instructor will also incorporate elements of outdoor education and support campers in developing confidence and skills during their climbing experiences. Additionally, collaboration with fellow staff members is required to maintain a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications Experience and proficiency in Rock/climbing wall skillsStrong Communication skills to effectively guide and instruct individuals and groupsUnderstanding of safety standards and risk management in outdoor and climbing activitiesAbility to foster teamwork, inclusivity, and a positive learning environmentPrevious experience with youth outdoor programs is a plusCertifications such as First Aid/CPR or climbing-related qualifications are highly beneficial
