JTLF provides underserved children with access to safe environments, trusted mentors, enriching experiences, and the community connections they need to thrive.About the RoleWe are hiring a Development & Operations Manager to lead across operations, fundraising, grants, partnerships, systems, and organizational growth. This is a high-accountability, high-impact role for someone who is mission-driven, proactive, and ready to help scale a growing nonprofit. You will report directly to the Executive Director/Founder.Programs You Will SupportSummer Program – Mentorship, recreation, and peer connection to keep youth engaged and safe during the most vulnerable months of the yearBack to School Program – Supplies and resources that remove material barriers so low-income students start the year confident and readyThanksgiving Program – Meals and food supplies for families during the holiday season, reinforcing community belonging and well-beingChristmas Program – Toys, meals, and supplies that bring holiday joy and dignity to families while connecting them to year-round resourcesEssential Goods Program – Ongoing distribution of food, supplies, and household essentials so families stay stable, and youth stay engagedEducation Program – Workshops, leadership development, and mentorship-aligned learning that equips youth for academic success and lifeResponsibilitiesOperations & SystemsManage daily operations, logistics, and program coordinationDevelop and implement workflows, policies, and proceduresOversee budgets, scheduling, and vendor relationshipsEnsure nonprofit compliance and reporting requirements are metCoordinate community events and outreach activitiesTrack participation, attendance, and engagement metricsSupervise volunteers and program staffMaintain donor, sponsor, and grant tracking systems (CRM/database management)Learn and utilize CRM, AI, donor management, and communication platformsFundraising, Grants & PartnershipsResearch and apply for foundation, corporate, and government grantsWrite and submit proposals, letters of intent (LOIs), and funder reportsDevelop sponsorships and community partnershipsBuild and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, donors, and stakeholdersSupport fundraising campaigns, drives, and eventsManage the grant submission pipeline and deadlinesCultivate and retain donor and sponsor relationshipsWhat Success Looks Like — Year-One GoalsGenerate $100,000–$250,000 annually in grants and sponsorshipsSubmit 4–10 grant or funding applications per monthIncrease program participation by 15–25% annuallyMaintain a 90%+ compliance rate on all reporting deadlinesAchieve a 70%+ donor and sponsor retention rateThis Role Is Best For Someone Who:Enjoys both mission-driven work and operational structureCan manage multiple moving priorities without losing momentumIs proactive — takes initiative rather than waiting for directionIs comfortable with accountability and measurable goalsThrives in fast-growing, high-impact environmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred (Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field)3+ years of experience in nonprofit, operations, or program managementProven track record in grant writing or fundraisingStrong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistentlyCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $40,000/yearPerformance-based incentive bonuses tied to successful funding outcomes, sponsorship growth, and organizational targetsQuarterly performance bonuses tied to revenue goals (OTE $50,000–$65,000+)Program growth incentives based on participation and retentionProfessional development support (training and certifications)Flexible scheduling optionsScheduleFull-timeSome evenings and weekends are required for program eventsWork LocationHouston, TX — Hybrid (on-site flexibility available)Reports ToExecutive Director / FounderPowered by JazzHR
