Accounts Payable Level I

$16.40 - $20.50 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this job is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of vendors that provide product for our stores, in addition to providing support for the stores and vendors. This person will be preparing, requesting and inputting invoices, sending payments, preparing sales against purchases reports, preparing quarterly profit and loss statements and assisting the in-store accounting departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresDelivers excellent customer service while acting as a point of contact at Harmons' Support OfficeCompletes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely mannerAnswers telephone calls from the stores and vendors regarding invoicing and paymentInputs invoices received from assigned storesBalances Associated Foods statements for assigned storesHandles accounts receivable for pharmacy at assigned storesAssists Store Directors, department managers and accounting associates at assigned storesPrepares paper check or electronic payments for vendorsPrepares statements for quarterly profit and loss meetingsPrepares spreadsheets, documents, etc. using a PCCommunicates openly, effectively and frequently with the Controller, Store Directors, department managers and vendorsVisits assigned stores quarterly to assist with continuous training for department managersAssists with training with new department managers with bill approval processAssists in other areas as needed to ensure the success of the company as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with Support Office associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customers and vendorsTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
