About the RoleWe are seeking an Assistant Manager to support and oversee maritime industry training programs across multiple Gulf Coast ports. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to heavy equipment operations while helping build and standardize training programs in compliance with OSHA requirements.This role reports directly to the Training Operations Manager and plays a key part in ensuring safety, operational excellence, and long-term training development.Key Responsibilities:Training & OperationsOversee and support daily training program activitiesPlan and coordinate training schedulesConduct training needs assessments and identify skill gapsAssist in developing and implementing updated training standardsParticipate in “Train the Trainer” programsSafety & ComplianceEnsure safety of trainers and trainees as top priorityMaintain OSHA compliance and required certificationsPromote safe operations around heavy equipment and port environmentsAdministration & ReportingMaintain accurate trainee recordsProvide regular status updates to stakeholdersAssist with monthly budget reviews as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree (preferred in related field)Strong computer proficiencyAbility to travel within the Gulf Coast (approx. 35%)Ability to work flexible hoursComfortable working at heights and around large, moving equipmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in organizational training or workforce developmentWorking knowledge of OSHA standardsMaritime industry experienceKnowledge of union contractsExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&LOperational knowledge of RTGs, STS cranes, and Powered Industrial TrucksFamiliarity with Salesforce CRMStrong stakeholder management skillsProven track record of meeting sales goals.What We’re Looking ForStrong organizational skillsTeam-oriented mindsetHigh level of accountability and work ethicProactive problem solverDependable and punctualCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary (based on experience)401(k)Medical & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Entry–Mid Level Management Opportunity
