Mechanical Design Engineer

Day-to-Day Summary of Role: ● Participate on a project with a MDVT team of engineers involved in mechanicalvalidation test. ● Work under the direction of a senior MDVT engineer ● Carry out testing Shock, Vibration, Drop and Thermal ● Support test engineering development and troubleshooting activities. ● Setup large network equipmkent test beds. (Ability to lift 25 lbs) ● Document test data into test reportsRequired Skills ● Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical and Environmental stress testingmethods (Mechanical Shock and Vibration, Drop, Temperature, Humidity, Altitude); ● Knowledge of fundamental hardware systems and devices – PCB, heatsink, mountingbracket, optical modules; ● Understand mechanical design; ● Good mechanical aptitude. Can use hand tools and power tools to build/modify testbed; ● Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment
