Mechanical Design Engineer

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop next-generation networking hardware, including modular and fixed chassis systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design for electronic products, hands-on expertise with Creo or NX, and a solid understanding of sheet metal design, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components for networking and telecom hardware.Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Creo or NX.Design electronic enclosures using sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast materials.Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.Work closely with electrical, PCB, manufacturing, and supplier teams throughout product development.Review PCB IDF files and ensure proper mechanical integration.Resolve manufacturing and production-related mechanical issues.Lead and participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams.Support prototype builds, validation, and production releases.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.7+ years of mechanical design experience for electronic or networking products.Strong proficiency in Creo or NX.Hands-on experience with:Sheet metal designPlastic and die-cast part designGD&TTolerance analysisElectronic enclosure designExperience working with manufacturing teams and suppliers.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience designing networking, telecom, server, or data center hardware.Knowledge of EMI/EMC and safety design considerations.Experience with soft tooling and hard tooling for sheet metal parts.Experience designing fixtures and prototype equipment.Familiarity with PCB mechanical integration and IDF file exchange.Must-Have SkillsMechanical DesignCreo or NXSheet Metal DesignElectronic EnclosuresGD&TTolerance AnalysisManufacturing & Supplier CollaborationElectro-mechanical Product Design
