Mechanical Design Engineer

Day-to-Day Summary of Role:● Participate on a project with a MDVT team of engineers involved in mechanicalvalidation test.● Work under the direction of a senior MDVT engineer● Carry out testing Shock, Vibration, Drop and Thermal● Support test engineering development and troubleshooting activities.● Setup large network equipmkent test beds. (Ability to lift 25 lbs)● Document test data into test reportsRequired Skills● Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical and Environmental stress testingmethods (Mechanical Shock and Vibration, Drop, Temperature, Humidity, Altitude);● Knowledge of fundamental hardware systems and devices – PCB, heatsink, mountingbracket, optical modules;● Understand mechanical design;● Good mechanical aptitude. Can use hand tools and power tools to build/modify testbed;● Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment
