Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essentialfunctions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAn individual who holds this position is required to:Provide support for instruction to studentsAssist in the teacher in the implementation of a classroom disciplinary planParticipate in building, grade level, and subject area committeesParticipate in professional development activitiesComplete and submit forms and required reports in a timely mannerAssist the teacher in communicating regularly with parents regarding progress and othereducational concernsParticipate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams asrequestedAssist in the Implementation of special educational plans such as 504 plans, individualeducational programs, and individual health plansReport suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination, and harassments as directed by Board policySupervisory DutiesSupervise students at all timesQualificationsEducationMinimum: 60 hours collegeCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid Missouri Substitute CertificateSkills and AbilitiesLanguageAn individual who holds this position must have the ability to:Read and understand board policy, administrative procedures and forms and governmentalregulations and guidance as applicable or conveyed by the supervising teacherComplete forms and engage in written correspondencePresent information to students when requested and effectively and respond to questionsComputationAn individual who holds this position must have the ability to:Work with basic mathematical conceptsApply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situationsReasoningAn individual who holds this position must have the ability to:Solve a variety of problems in many different situations
