The client is specifically seeking candidates based in the New England area with experience in semiconductor or biopharmaceutical piping. Candidates with a background in the oil and gas industry will not be considered.Full-TimeNote: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship at this time.Position SummaryThe Senior Process Mechanical Designer is a senior-level, direct staff position within a process mechanical design team. This role is responsible for leading and executing detailed piping and equipment layout designs for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and other advanced manufacturing facilities.In close collaboration with engineering and construction teams, this position ensures that designs are compliant, practical for construction, and aligned with on-site project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop detailed process piping and equipment layouts for manufacturing facilities and laboratory environmentsDevelop high-purity process and clean utility systems in accordance with ASME BPE standardsCreate, coordinate, and review detailed 3D piping models within a VDC/BIM environmentGenerate and review piping isometrics and orthographic drawings using design softwareInterpret and work from P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications, and datasheetsPartner with engineering and construction teams to enhance constructability and project efficiencyPerform site visits for field verification and provide ongoing design supportReview and validate models, drawings, and overall project documentation for accuracy and qualityProvide technical support during construction, startup, and commissioning phasesStay up to date with industry standards, codes, and evolving design technologiesQualifications:Qualifications610 years of hands-on experience in process mechanical or piping designSolid background in designing and supporting the construction of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing facilitiesExperience in semiconductor or other piping- and equipment-driven industries is a plusStrong understanding of ASME BPE standards, high-purity systems, and clean utility piping designExperience working in a VDC/BIM environment is requiredSkilled in 3D modeling, including piping isometrics and orthographic drawingsAssociates or Bachelors degree is preferred, but not mandatoryAble to work independently while managing multiple priorities and design deliverablesOpen to regional travel as requiredWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Why JoinCollaborative environment with integrated design and construction teamsStrong coordination between engineering and field executionStable, long-term opportunity with a well-established organizationCulture focused on technical excellence, trust, and respectAdditional RequirementsMust be a U.S. CitizenAll offers are contingent upon background check, driving record review, and drug screeningBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Paid Maternity & Paternity LeaveTuition AssistanceDisability InsuranceSalary Type : Annual SalarySalary Min : $ 120000Salary Max : $ 145000Currency Type : USDNigel
