Job DescriptionPeriodontist Opportunity in Southeast Alaska Position: Periodontist Location: Southeast Alaska Facility: SEARHC Schedule: 4/10s Compensation & Benefits: Competitive Salary Incentives: Relocation assistance, sign-on bonus, and loan repayment options Comprehensive Benefits: Retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave Insurance: Health, dental, vision, life, long-term & short-term disability Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease and related conditions Perform periodontal surgeries and procedures within scope of practice Act as an advisor to general providers on periodontic matters Maintain credentialing requirements and submit reports in a timely manner Participate in village field trips and provide care in remote locations Supervise dental residents as needed (Juneau & Sitka locations) Qualifications: Education: DDS or DMD degree from an accredited program Training: Certificate or degree from an accredited periodontic dental specialty residency program Licensure: Active dental license in Alaska or another U.S. state Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Experience: Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and clinical skills in periodontics Additional Requirements: Occasional travel via jet, ferry, and small aircraft Ability to work with apprehensive or uncooperative patients Flexibility to accommodate emergency and after-hours cases
