The following physical requirements are considered essential job functions of the role:Physical RequirementsThe OT must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, and transition between floor-based and standing positions repeatedly throughout the workdayLift, carry, push, pull, and support children weighing up to 40–50 pounds, as clinically appropriateEngage in structured therapy activities, play-based learning, and movement-based interventions for extended periods of timeProvide physical prompting, guidance, and modeling of therapeutic activities as outlined in treatment plansRespond quickly to client movements or behaviors to ensure client and staff safetyMaintain physical stamina to work with clients for multiple hours per dayUse hands and arms for fine and gross motor activities, including manipulating therapy materials and assisting clientsVisually monitor clients at all times to ensure safety and treatment integrityHear and respond appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communication from clients, caregivers, and team membersWork may occur in clinic-based, home-based, school-based, or community settingsThe role may involve exposure to loud noises, unpredictable behaviors, and physically active situationsThe OT may be required to assist with client behaviors that involve movement, resistance, or redirectionHours & Compensation:Full/Part-Time Position (Flexible scheduling within clinic hours)Competitive Pay – Based on experience and qualificationsJoin the Ruby ABA Family!At Ruby ABA, we’re building something special—a place where therapy is impactful, careers are fulfilling, and change is real.
