No remote or hybrid candidates will be considered.Position SummaryThe Medical Billing Specialist supports day-to-day billing operations, including claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding claims. This role works closely with internal team members and assists with coordination alongside our third-party billing partner to help ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Claims SupportSubmit medical claims to insurance payersReview and correct claim rejections and clearinghouse editsPost payments (EFT, checks, credit cards) and reconcile as neededReview EOBs/ERAs for accuracyFollow-Up & DenialsAssist with researching and resolving denied or unpaid claimsPerform insurance follow-up through payer portals and phone communicationSubmit corrected claims or supporting documentation when neededAccounts Receivable (AR)Work assigned AR balances and support timely resolution of claimsMaintain accurate and detailed notes on account activityCoordination & SupportAssist with communication and follow-up with third-party billing partnerVerify patient eligibility and benefits as needed to support billing accuracySupport patient billing questions when applicableQualificationsRequired:2–3 years of medical billing experienceExperience submitting claims and working claim follow-up in a medical settingBasic understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codesFamiliarity with EHR/medical billing systems and payer portalsStrong attention to detail and ability to stay organizedPreferred:Certification in Medical Billing/CodingExperience in a specialty medical practiceCompensation & Benefits$22–$25 per hour, based on experience100% employer-paid health insurance100% employer-paid disability insurance401(k) with up to 4% matchDental and vision insurancePTO and paid holidays$275 annual scrub stipendCEU/license reimbursement$600 annual attendance incentiveMonthly team incentivesLunch provided 2–3 times per weekOpportunities for growth and advancementWhy The Hirsh CenterCollaborative, team-focused culturePredictable schedule that supports work-life balanceOpportunity to grow your billing skillset in a specialty practiceLong-term career stability within a supportive environment PI512a7be0aa9d-25405-40151506
