THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE IN EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIAWhat you get to do:Support motor and sensor selection, development, and integration efforts on our Poseidon robots, enabling both current and next-gen deploymentsWrite software to interface directly with hardware that improves robot behavior, user safety, and system efficiencyDesign and implement automated testing and diagnostic frameworks for robotic components, supporting reliable operation in the field, manufacturing, and R&DAnalyze metrics and investigate failure modes observed in the field or at our in-house test roomDevelop highly reliable, maintainable, and testable codeCollaborate closely with our highly multidisciplinary team spanning mechanical, electrical, field, and software to deliver a robust robotic system!What you will need:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related fieldExperience owning a project in C++ or Python from development to productionDesire to learn new technologies and to apply them to solve real-world challengesBreak down complex technical concepts – communicate them clearly to different audiencesLoves learning new technologies and applying them to solve real-world challengesStrong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional settingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOther things to know:This is a 100% in-person role! The position requires hands-on integration and testing with our robots in office as well as collaboration with our hardware focused teams.You will be working with a fast moving team of software and mechanical engineers during the most exciting phase of our growth – expanding to support new fish species, more robots in the field, and developing software based tools for fishermen efficiency.Our technology integrates computer vision and advanced mechanisms to assist fishermen in fish processing, enhancing efficiency and product quality.
