Fleet Services Master Technician

To diagnose, repair and maintain the Citys Fleet of specialized light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Essential Functions. Performs all preventative maintenance inspections and services. Repairs ignition, carbureted and fuel injected systems. Repairs and overhauls driveline components. Repairs generators, starters, lighting and electrical systems, wheel bearings, hydraulic and brakes systems. Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in automobiles, Medium/ Heavy trucks, specialized solid waste vehicles, aerial devices, hydraulic systems, pumps, and other specialized support equipment. Installs specialized equipment. Makes emergency in-field repairs out of the shop. Diagnoses defects through testing and operation, in various light and heavy vehicular equipment, various types of special equipment, heavy diesel engines, gasoline engines, chassis, vehicular bodies, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
