The applicant must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid NH driver’s license. Possession of CDL-B driver’s license with a clean driving record and roll-off experience a plus. Possession of a State of New Hampshire Solid Waste Operators Certification and New Hampshire Weighmaster License required, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment. The successful candidate should have the ability to operate recycling equipment such as skid steer, loader, forklift , baler, compactor, hand, and power tools. Sound mechanical ability and welding a plus. Duties include coordinating the collection of solid waste and recyclable materials and preparing the material for hauling; maintaining a safe environment for residents and employees, interacting with the general public including advising them of the policies of the Transfer Station and assisting them with their recycling and disposal needs. The position requires the ability to perform physical labor under all climates and environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, noise, rain and snow. The position will require the candidate to perform reptive motion tasks and bend and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Working on Saturdays is mandatory. The facility operates Tuesday-Friday 7:00AM – 4:00PM Saturday 6:30 AM – 2:00PM Occasional over time is offered dependent on the needs of the District.
