Job Description Position Title: Physical Therapist – Acute Care HospitalLocation: Lubbock, TX 79410Employment Type: Travel / ContractDuration: 13 Weeks (high possibility of extension or permanent placement)Shift: Day ShiftSchedule: 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 05:00 PM)Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteedStart Date: 06/01/2026Job Summary: Provide acute care physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment, mobility training, and rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions in a hospital setting.Responsibilities:Perform physical therapy evaluations and patient assessmentsDevelop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plansProvide gait training and mobility assistanceDeliver therapeutic exercises for recovery and strengthTreat post-op orthopedic and neurologic conditionsEducate patients and families on recovery and home exercise programsDocument all care and treatment plans in EPIC EMRCollaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teamsRequirements:Minimum 1 year acute care Physical Therapy experience requiredGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program requiredDoctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferredActive Texas PT license or compact license requiredBLS certification requiredEPIC experience requiredStrong skills in gait training, mobility, and patient assessmentExperience with stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, and orthopedic rehab preferredFirst-time travelers acceptedAdditional Information:No weekends, call, or block scheduling requiredFacility: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (379 beds, Level II Trauma Center)Patient population: Adolescents, Adults, GeriatricsFree parking availableCOVID vaccine not requiredContact Information:hdavda@navitashealth.com 516-862-1169About Company: About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
