What You'll Do As a Line Cook, you'll play a key role in delivering the high-quality dishes our guests expect. Your day will include: Station Setup & PrepStock and set up your station with all required tools, ingredients, and equipmentComplete daily prep tasks: chopping, slicing, butchering proteins, preparing sauces, and more Cooking & Menu ExecutionPrepare menu items to order with accuracy and consistencyFollow hotel recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelinesCoordinate timing with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service Quality & PresentationEnsure every dish meets DoubleTree's standards for flavor, temperature, and presentationMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Food Safety & SanitationFollow all health department regulations and ServSafe standardsClean and sanitize equipment and surfaces throughout your shift Inventory & Stock ControlAssist with receiving deliveries and rotating stock (FIFO)Report low inventory, spoilage, or waste Teamwork & CommunicationWork closely with servers, bartenders, and room service to ensure timely ordersHandle dietary requests and modifications with care and accuracy What We're Looking For1-3 years of experience as a Line Cook (hotel or high-volume kitchen preferred)Strong knife skills and proficiency in grilling, sautéing, frying, and other cooking methodsFood Handler or ServSafe certification requiredAbility to stay calm, focused, and efficient during high-volume service Working Conditions This role requires: Exposure to high heat, cold storage, steam, and kitchen machineryFast-paced, high-pressure environment during peak service timesAbility to stand for 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbsFlexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidaysWhy Join DoubleTree New Orleans Airport?A supportive, team-oriented kitchen environmentOpportunities for growth within Hilton-branded hotelsCompetitive pay and hotel employee perksA chance to create memorable experiences for guests from around the world Ready to Bring Your Skills to Our Kitchen?
