Job Summary:
Cedar Cove Ranch is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven *Lead Server / Bartender* to join our growing Food & Beverage team.
This is a *full-time, hands-on position* supporting corporate retreats, hunting groups, private events, weddings, and other guest experiences at our ranch.
Unlike a traditional restaurant, our Food & Beverage operation is driven by scheduled guests and events. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, polished, and comfortable working in a small-team environment where everyone steps in to help create an exceptional guest experience.
This individual will initially serve as a key member of a small service team. As our business grows, we will add additional servers and bartenders, and the Lead Server / Bartender will help train team members, maintain service standards, and provide leadership during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, attentive food and beverage service
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Take the lead during meal, bar, cocktail, and event service as needed
- Help ensure a smooth and well-paced guest dining experience
- Work closely with the culinary and hospitality teams to coordinate service
- Set up and break down dining rooms, bars, cocktail hours, meetings, and event spaces
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bar and service areas
- Assist with beverage inventory, receiving, stocking, and organization
- Prepare service areas in advance of upcoming groups and events
- Help maintain consistent service and presentation standards
- Assist with training additional servers and bartenders as the team grows
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests professionally
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities
- Maintain responsible alcohol-service and food-safety practices
Hospitality Support
Because this is a *full-time position within a small hospitality team*, responsibilities are not limited to serving and bartending.
When there are no scheduled events or Food & Beverage service needs, this position will assist with other *hospitality and guest-experience responsibilities as needed*.
This may include:
- Preparing for upcoming guest arrivals
- Assisting with meeting and event setup
- Stocking and organizing guest and hospitality areas
- Helping maintain guest-facing spaces and overall property readiness
- Supporting special events and guest activities
- Assisting the broader hospitality team with day-to-day operational needs
We are looking for someone who is willing to step in where needed and takes pride in the overall guest experience—not someone who wants to work only behind the bar or during meal service.
Qualifications:
- Previous serving and bartending experience required
- Upscale restaurant, resort, hotel, club, event, or private hospitality experience preferred
- Strong bartending and beverage-service knowledge
- Professional, polished, and personable with guests
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative
- Comfortable taking the lead while remaining fully hands-on
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Willingness to assist outside of primary Food & Beverage duties when needed
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on guest and event schedules
- TABC certification required or ability to obtain
- Food Handler certification required or ability to obtain
Schedule
This is a *full-time position with a variable schedule based on ranch occupancy and events*.
Hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some weeks will be more heavily focused on Food & Beverage service, while others may include more preparation, hospitality support, and guest-experience responsibilities.
Flexibility is an important part of this position.
Compensation
*$15–$17 per hour + tips*, depending on experience.
