Job title:Senior .NET Developer with Department of Agriculture experienceLocation: Austin, TXDuration: 3 MonthsResponsibilitiesPerforms highly advanced senior-level computer programming work. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigate problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.Write, test, debug, and document complex programs, including client/server and web-based applications using C# (.Net), Blazor, and/or SQL.Design, develop and implement specialized programs or routines to create, supplement, and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.Work closely and coordinate with systems analysts, architects, and various business areas to gather/validate requirements, understand technical issues, limitations and model solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements.Provide support of Texas Department of Agriculture applications software through diagnosis of problems and implementation of changes to resolve problems and maintain software at the most current level.Experience in developing and enhancing licensing systems for state agencies, including migrating licensing functionality to modern platforms while enabling seamless legacy data portability for the State of Texas licensing system. Proficiency in Visual Studio 2022, .NET Core 9.0, Oracle DB, and DevExpress tools to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.Perform research and analysis required specialized programs or routines to supplement and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server.Recommend improvements to processes for application development projects, as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree or higher 8+ years of experience in analyzing software application workflows to identify efficiencies and improvements 8+ years of experience in root cause analysis and issue resolution 8+ years of experience leading design and development of web-based applications 8+ years of programming experience (.NET, C#, Java, ASP, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, SQL, stored procedures, front-end & back-end technologies) 8+ years of experience performing SDLC tasks across all phases independently 8+ years of experience in software application administration and management 8+ years of experience leading SDLC projects from scope to deployment, including change control and release coordination 8+ years of proficiency in web technologies (.NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, Oracle) 6+ years of experience with Agile SDLC methodologies 6+ years of experience in cross-team collaboration for development, maintenance, and requirements gathering 5+ years of experience implementing security-focused application modifications 5+ years of experience leading SDLC teams, including code review and validation 5+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, and release notes 5+ years of experience presenting application changes for stakeholder approval 4+ years of experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools 2+ years of experience with C# .NET Blazor development 1+ year of experience (preferred) in migrating Java applications to C# .NET Blazor 1+ year of experience (preferred) in responsive web design practices 1+ year of experience (preferred) with WCAG accessibility standards 1+ year of experience (preferred) working with Texas Department of Agriculture systems
