The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, J2EE, SQL, unit testing, accessibility testing, and Azure DevOps, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and support application delivery activities.Key Responsibilities:Lead Java development activities supporting Correspondence Redesign releases and Change RequestsDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applicationsAnalyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutionsDevelop and maintain application components using Java and J2EE technologiesDesign and optimize SQL queries and database interactionsDevelop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure application qualityPerform accessibility testing and address application accessibility requirementsTroubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysisSupport release planning, deployment, validation, and production support activitiesManage and track development activities using Azure DevOpsParticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standardsCollaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and project stakeholdersProvide technical guidance and mentoring to development team membersSupport Change Requests and ensure timely delivery of enhancements and fixesRequired Skills:8+ years of professional Java development experienceStrong experience with Java and J2EE technologiesStrong SQL development and database experienceHands on experience with unit testingExperience with accessibility testing and accessibility complianceExperience supporting enterprise application development and maintenanceExperience with Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, and development lifecycle activitiesStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsExperience supporting application releases and change requestsStrong communication, analytical, and problem solving skillsAbility to work effectively with technical and business stakeholdersPreferred Skills:Experience leading Java development teams or technical initiativesExperience supporting large scale enterprise or government applicationsExperience with application modernization and redesign initiativesExperience with Agile development methodologiesExperience with automated testing practicesExperience with release management and production supportExperience preparing technical documentation and development standardsExperience mentoring junior and mid level developersEducation Requirement:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
