IT Helpdesk Technician - Entry Level 1
Job Summary

Responsibilities
Respond promptly to user inquiries via help desk systems, providing clear guidance on technical issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems related to computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and other equipment.
Support software troubleshooting efforts for operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, including installation and configuration.
Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory management and assist with GPO (Group Policy Object) configurations.
Support the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure components like routers, switches, and computer hardware.
Document all support activities accurately in customer support ticket management systems for tracking and follow-up.
Collaborate with team members on technical troubleshooting support related to computer networking, operating systems, and hardware issues.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical solutions clearly and professionally to end-users.
Assist in maintaining computer management practices and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Experience
Previous experience or familiarity with help desk systems or ticket management tools is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux is advantageous.
Exposure to computer networking concepts including LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and network troubleshooting is beneficial.
Strong communication skills with an ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Demonstrated analysis skills for diagnosing hardware/software issues efficiently.
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment dedicated to IT support excellence.
