Date: 2/02/2026Job Title: Development Internship Summer 2026 – Part-TimeDivision/ Department: Administrative, Government RelationsReporting Manager: Executive ManagerLocation: Washington, DCSalary: Unpaid Internship A cover letter is required for this position.Position SummaryThe Development Department at Museum of the Bible is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Intern to support fundraising operations and departmental leadership during the summer term. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, events, and administrative operations within a museum setting. The intern will play a key role in maintaining accurate donor records, supporting fundraising events, and providing organizational and administrative assistance to development leadership.The internship is designed to offer meaningful exposure to development strategy, relationship management, and data-driven fundraising practices while contributing to the Museum’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and organizational support to Development Department leadershipTrack, update, and maintain donor records and interactions within Salesforce with a high level of accuracy and confidentialityAssist with data entry, reporting, and donor research to support fundraising initiativesSupport the planning, preparation, and execution of donor events and development activities as neededCoordinate schedules, materials, and internal communications related to development projectsAssist with gift processing documentation and stewardship effortsCollaborate with Development and other Museum departments to ensure smooth workflow and communicationPerform additional administrative tasks as assigned to support departmental goalsSupport various teams within Development as needed: Church Engagement, Memberships, Government RelationsEducationUndergraduate or graduate student majoring in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, Museum Studies, or related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university programStrong interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or museum administrationExperience with or willingness to learn Salesforce or similar CRM systemsHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling donor informationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelational, dependable, and service-oriented with a positive attitudeSkillsData tracking and database managementAdministrative and organizational supportRelationship-building and interpersonal communicationAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and prioritizationMicrosoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency (Salesforce a plus)Work Schedule25 hours during the summer semester; schedule to be determined in coordination with Development Department leadership.
