Job SummaryThe Café Team Members are primarily responsible for serving guests efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Working hours will be spent in the kitchen cooking, preparing and serving food. Flexible scheduling availability to include all evenings, most weekends and special events required.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counterGive advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat businessEnsure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Café areaManage queues and exceed guest expectations; upsell to maximize profitKeep Café and surrounding areas tidy and clean; this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trashHandle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership TeamWork within established guidelines and operating proceduresMeasure and assemble ingredients for menu itemsProperly cook and store food items at appropriate temperaturesRotate stock items as per established procedureEnsure compliance with all health code regulationsMaintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areasParticipate in regular staff meetings and training, as requiredOther duties as tasked by LeadershipQUALIFICATIONPrevious restaurant/quick service experience preferredServSafe or similar food handling certification preferredMust have experience in the kitchen
