The General Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including data entry, filing, reports, and expenses. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Salary$17.55 / hr. plus $4.57 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!See ALL the fantastic benefits you receive as an employee of EMI below!!Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain records and filing systems, both electronic and paperEnsure all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievableUndertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks etcAnswer telephone calls and take accurate messagesGreet customers and provide informationEnter data into databases, spreadsheets, and other software programsProcess incoming and outgoing mailAssist in the preparation of reports, documents, and presentationsAssist in the management of office supplies and inventoryPerforms other related duties as assignedEssential SkillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsFamiliarity with office procedures and basic accounting principlesVery good knowledge of MS OfficeAble to multi-task and prioritize tasksAble to learn quickly and use new technologyStrong organizational and time-management skillsDetail-oriented and accurate with data entryRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years in a related administrative position or formal vocational/technical training in office workValid driver’s licensePass a pre-employment drug screening and background checkRegular, dependable attendanceU.
