Packaging Line Maintenance Mechanic

Our culture prizes accountability, collaboration, agility, and unshakable ethics.A Day on the LineYou arrive for 2nd shift, Monday–Friday (4:00pm - 2:30pm; OT as needed), ready to ensure every machine hits its marks. You’ll set up production equipment for the scheduled run, collaborate with operators to isolate issues, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and motor problems to get to the root cause fast. You’ll carry out preventive maintenance, perform major overhauls on packaging assets, and document changes so the next setup is smarter and faster. When design tweaks are needed, you’ll help craft and implement approved modifications. Throughout your shift, you’ll work safely, follow GMPs, and jump in to support other shifts when needed—often with minimal supervision, always as a team player.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up production equipment to meet the schedule and ensure optimal performance.Partner with machine operators to diagnose issues; troubleshoot to determine causes and required repairs.Interpret technical manuals; record and maintain detailed documentation of changes and setups.Execute repairs to keep assets in peak condition; perform major mechanical overhauls on packaging equipment.Diagnose electrical and motor systems to verify function and configuration.Complete preventive maintenance and support approved equipment modifications.Adhere to all safety procedures and GMP requirements.Provide coverage for other shifts as needed; operate independently and collaboratively.Perform other duties as assigned. The above statements reflect the general nature and level of work and are not exhaustive; duties may change.What You Bring4+ years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry strongly preferred).Associate’s in electronics and/or an Electrical Diploma/Certificate with 3+ years of experience; or 5+ years of directly related experience.Clear written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.Flexibility to work various shifts (days, afternoons, nights).Comfort thriving in a fast-paced setting with frequent change; strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout procedures.Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) is an asset.Customer-service mindset; collaborative team player.Core ProficienciesMechanical Troubleshooting SkillsHydraulics ExperiencePneumatics TroubleshootingMaintenance and Repair SkillsMachines & TechnologiesConveyor SystemsRewards & GrowthWe offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
