Data Engineer Manager

Data Engineering Manager We are looking for a proven technical lead and people leader in the data engineering field. To be successful in this position, you will have knowledge and hands-on experience with current ETL and data pipeline best-practices. You will also have experience leading technical engineers helping them successfully complete work and while coaching and mentoring them to meet their career goals. Responsibilities Lead a growing team of data engineers to ensure project deliverables are achieved Ensure project milestones are tracked, measured, and completed on time Execute the defined strategy as laid out by data and analytics leadership team Interview and hire for open positions on the team Partner with Architecture and Sr. Engineers on ingestion patterns and best practices Evaluate and improve existing data patterns Partner with operations/business teams to efficiently resolve issues related to data ingestion and data quality Balance the needs of the business with the data strategy Ability to pivot on deliverables as priorities change Requirements 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer working with large enterprise tools and datasets Working knowledge of Snowflake Deep expertise of ETL tools like Airflow, DMS, Fivetran, etc. Experience with AWS and its data and analytics offerings such as Glue, Lambda, DMS, etc. 2+ years as a people leader in a data and analytics-related role Advanced skills in SQL Ability to present to senior leaders Develop and present strategies to execute Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
