This contract role is on-site in Bloomington, IL, and involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to deliver intuitive user experiences. Day-to-day tasks include developing front-end features using React and related web technologies, optimizing performance and accessibility, and ensuring consistent UI/UX across devices and browsers. The engineer will also review code, mentor other developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and participate in testing and debugging to maintain high-quality standards. The role requires engaging with stakeholders to refine requirements and translate business needs into scalable front-end solutions.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including React and modern JavaScript frameworks.Candidates should possess Web Development skills, covering HTML, CSS, and core web technologies.Candidates should possess Responsive Web Design skills to ensure optimal experiences across devices and screen sizes.Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including version control, testing, and debugging practices.Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development familiarity to collaborate effectively with server-side teams.Experience leading front-end projects or teams and making architectural decisions for web applications.Knowledge of performance optimization, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively on-site with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in building scalable, production-ready React applications in a professional environment.
