Model Based Systems Engineer

Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with five (5) or more years of experience with Cameo System Modeler in support of Engineering Services to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia area
Key Responsibilities
Works as part of a team to support Navy modeling efforts
Develops mission architectures in collaboration with government customers to represent System of System and System interactions
Develops system representations using authoritative sources of truth (ASOT) and defines traceability within the model(s) to source data
Collaborates with other Navy MBSE projects to support alignment initiatives through common ontology or project usages
Maintains configuration management of models using Teamwork Cloud or other project defined CM Process
Adheres to existing project SysML, UAF, and project specific style guidance
Participates in recurring Technical Exchange Meetings to align model development with project milestones and requirements
Participates in MBSE Community of Practice (CoP) to support project alignment to Navy initiatives
Prepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address model development status
Works independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using SysML and Cameo System Modeler
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or related technical discipline
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI is required
Experience with industry- standard architecture and modeling languages (SysML) and frameworks (DoDAF, UAF)
Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Teamwork Cloud
Experience with US Navy, Joint, and/or DoD engineering efforts
Experience of integrating technologies into operational- level architectures
Experience working alongside operational forces
Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision
Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues
Work Posture
Must be committed to working on-site at the Kitty Hawk office or government customer facility. Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements
Travel
Some travel may be required for this position
