Lead Teacher

Under the supervision of the Early Education Director, the Lead Teacher provides direction for the classroom and staff. Implements program curriculum in the classroom. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. The ideal candidate must meet the Kansas Licensing requirement for the Lead Teacher Position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Must stay within Kansas Department of Health and Environment licensing regulations. Complete 16 in-service training hours per year as required by state regulations. Implement curriculum within the established guidelines. Design and implements daily lesson/activity plans. Supervise the children, classroom, and all activities. Conducts parent conferences and maintain a positive relationships and effective communication with parents.
