Varsity is committed to reporting all suspicions, allegations, and incidents of abuse in full accordance with local laws and reporting requirements.Work Type: Onsite Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8PM - 4:30PMDescription As a member of the Warehouse team, the Inventory Control (IC) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient product flow within the Distribution Center. The IC Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, auditing physical and system inventory, and supporting operational teams by identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.Responsibilities Maintain and improve inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle countsInvestigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with Operations to prevent recurrenceExecute inventory adjustments and reconciliation efforts within established protocolAudit and maintain location accuracy, slotting integrity, and putaway complianceCollaborate with Receiving, Picking, Shipping, and Operations teams to resolve inventory-related issuesRequirements Strong attention to detail with an accuracy-driven and analytical mindsetAbility to interpret data and reports to identify trends and risksEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, with strong working knowledge of ExcelAbility to work in a structured, process-oriented environmentComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionReliable attendance and flexibility to work seasonal mandatory overtime as neededAbility to learn tasks quickly and work effectively as part of a teamAbility to add, subtract multiply and divide numbersAbility to effectively communicate and comprehend in EnglishKnowledge / Experience / Education Understanding of inventory control procedures, cycle count programs, and internal controlsExperience using RF scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)2-3 years of relevant warehouse or inventory control experience preferredCertified Forklift Operator or willingness to become certifiedBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusPhysical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10+ hours per day)Ability to lift 15-50 lbs. regularly from floor to waist levelAbility to work at heights up to 30-40 feetRepetitive movement of hands, arms, and body on a regular basisAbility to safely operate powered industrial equipment (reach and wave trucks, order pickers, etc.)Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environmentPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.At Varsity Brands, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed and every educator wants to make a difference.
