Structural Fabrication Supervisor
OverviewSystem One is working with a manufacturer in the Tulsa area to place a Structural Fabrication Supervisor. ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily fabrication operations, including welders and fittersSchedule manpower and assign work based on the master production scheduleReview upcoming work and adjust labor, sequencing, and resources as neededOrder materials and ensure availability to support fabrication schedulesCoordinate and manage subcontracted fabrication workBuild, modify, and maintain fabrication fixtures and jigs to improve efficiency and consistencyMonitor quality, productivity, and safety throughout the departmentEnforce shop procedures, safety rules, and work standardsHold employees accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safetyTroubleshoot fabrication issues and work with management or engineering to resolve themIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvementsCommunicate shop status, delays, and needs clearly to managementManage subcontractors or outside fabrication vendorsRequirements5+ years of experience in structural steel or heavy fabricationPrevious supervisory, lead, or foreman experience preferredStrong knowledge of welding processes and structural fabrication methodsAbility to read and interpret structural drawings and fabrication documentsExperience with scheduling labor, coordinating materials, and meeting production deadlinesProven ability to lead crews and enforce accountabilityStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsWillingness to be hands-on when neededMicrosoft Office Suite – basic working knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word) System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
