As a Security & Safety Monitor, you play a critical role in maintaining the physical and emotional security that allows patients to focus on healing. Your presence helps reduce risk, prevent diversion, manage crises, and ensure facility rules are followed, creating stability during one of the most vulnerable times in a patient's life. Your work behind the scenes has a powerful impact on treatment outcomes.Your Role in Transforming RecoveryIn this hands-on, highly visible role, you will:Monitor and control patient movement throughout the facilityConduct safety and security rounds across the buildingMaintain accurate daily logs and documentationComplete room inspections and reports on a daily and rotating schedulePerform patient room searches and property searches, maintaining proper chain of custodySupport Nursing staff with visual searches during admissionsAssist with crisis management and patient de-escalationSupport Counselor Technicians with patient transfersMonitor medication and MAT lines to prevent diversionParticipate in K-9 walkthroughs in coordination with the Regional Director of SecurityTransport patients safely as neededProvide general support to the program and care team as situations ariseYour vigilance, professionalism, and calm presence help protect patients, staff, and the integrity of treatment.RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who is:Reliable, alert, and professional at all timesCalm and confident in high-stress or crisis situationsSkilled in verbal de-escalation and interpersonal communicationKnowledgeable about 12-Step programs and recovery-focused environmentsComfortable working collaboratively with clinical, nursing, and counseling teamsPreferred ExperienceChemical dependency or substance use disorder treatment experienceOther RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to remain awake and alert throughout the entire shiftSuccessful completion of: PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, Drug screening, 2-Step TB test, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checkWork EnvironmentInpatient substance use disorder treatment facility.Must stay awake during shift.
