On-site Energy Manager

Our teams manage complex, utility-coordinated projects from concept to closeout.Work Location & ScheduleThis position is based in INF Associates’ NYC office and requires regular presence in the office and at project sites. Limited remote work may be permitted on occasional basis, subject to business needs and manager approval.Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 annuallyPosition Role & Responsibilities:·      Support customers with on-site energy management services, including the performance of energy audits, retro-commissioning, engineering feasibility studies, energy data management, and energy master plan development.·      Design and specify mechanical and electrical energy solutions with a quantified technical basis and build a business case to present to owners, including cost estimating and economic analysis.·      Support construction management and project close-out as needed.·      Manage team workloads and assignments.·      Support INF’s incentives management team to capture incentives and rebates for building energy projects of all kinds.·      Fully understand various manufacturer equipment packages to specify for project design according to the specific needs of the application.·      Coordinate and manage projects with clients, partners, and contractors.·      Attend client presentations, meetings, and discussions to refine projects based on owner’s requirements and gain approval to proceed.·      Be flexible on learning and supporting new responsibilities as the role evolves and new opportunities arise.Required Qualifications:·      Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy management, or a related field.·      5+ years of experience in energy engineering, building systems, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience performing energy audits, retro-commissioning, and feasibility studies.·      Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or similar industry designation.·      Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, including HVAC, lighting, building envelope, and controls.·      Experience with cost estimating, economic analysis, and building business cases for capital energy projects.Preferred Qualifications:·      Knowledge of relevant energy codes (e.g. LL84, LL97) and guidelines (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE Level I/II/III audits).·      Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation tools (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, Trane TRACE, or similar) and energy data management platforms.·      Familiarity with utility incentive and rebate programs and experience working with incentive management processes.·      Experience with construction management and project close-out.·      LEED accreditation or other relevant sustainability credentials.Experience managing and prioritizing team workloads and assignments.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation within the stated range is determined based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.
