IP/Console Engineer for Interior Systems NOVI, MIOnsiteThis RFP will focus on providing Engineering support for Body Interior Systems groups of the Body Product Development organization. Quotes should include all necessary resources to support the engineering for the instrument panel and console systems. The quote should include one onsite Engineer at the Scout Novi, MI location to work directly with Scout Engineers. This resource will be required to travel as required to supplier for IP/Console and to Blythewood, SC to support pre-production and production builds.Personnel RequirementsOn-Site Engineer to support Novi, MI, activities as dictated by the point of time of the development cycle.8+ years experience in engineering Instrument Panel / Console Systems thru all development phasesExperience with Catia software system and pulling in and cutting sections in data.Understanding of Instrument Panel / Console system requirementsExperience in DV/PV testing phase for instrument panel / consoleFast resolution of open issues for instrument panel / consolePlus to have knowledge of the VW systemsStrong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA, PFMEA and Control plansProficient ability to read, speak, and understand EnglishTake direction from Scout Engineering to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirementsSystems to be supportedInstrument PanelConsoleOutline of TasksWork with Supplier(s) to ensure proper upload of data into the VW systemPart updates and changes to existing parts / assemblies needed to support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and/or changes to interfacing components /systems.Obtain B-Release for provided IP/Console partsWork with supplier to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverablesSupport IP/Console commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolutionSupport supplier buildsSupport onsite Scout buildsIssue resolution for all open IP/Console issues thru build phase(s)
