Network Engineer (Edge Networking)Central Pennsylvania (Harrisburg / Mechanicsburg Area) – HybridLong term ContractOverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise environment, focused on maintaining and enhancing edge network infrastructure across multiple sites.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of day-to-day network support, troubleshooting, and infrastructure deployments, with strong exposure to Cisco-based environments.What You’ll DoInstall, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including:Routers and switchesSD-WAN edge devicesWireless and cellular network equipmentMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues across LAN/WAN environmentsSupport network deployments, upgrades, and hardware refresh initiativesWork within a ticketing system (ServiceNow) to track and resolve incidentsCollaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure network performance and reliabilityUtilize Cisco CLI for configuration and troubleshootingAssist in evaluating and implementing new networking technologiesMaintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurationsSupport both on-site and remote users with network-related issuesRequired Qualifications2–4 years of hands-on experience with:Network routingNetwork switchingExperience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network devicesStrong understanding of LAN/WAN networking conceptsExperience working with network monitoring and troubleshooting toolsAbility to work in a structured, process-driven environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsCCNA certification (or equivalent hands-on experience)Exposure to SD-WAN technologiesExperience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systemsExperience documenting network environments (Visio or similar tools)About Us:At Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
