Title: Student - HVAC Support Technician (Entry Level) Position Type: Student Search Type: External - minimum 7 days Department: 02R003 - Facilities Management Division: 4R3000 - Campus Operations Position Location: Richmond Campus Driver Classification: Driver FLSA: Non-Exempt Schedule Type: Part Time, No Benefits (less than 20 hrs per week) Hours Per Week: 20 Additional Schedule Details: Spring 2026 Posted Salary Grade: Students/Temporaries - 01 Contact Person: Ronnie Harris Job Summary/Basic Functions Assist with daily HVAC and control system repairs and service work Minimum Qualifications Education: Currently enrolled full time at EKU Preferred Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude (HVAC experience is a plus but not required) Willingness to learn HVAC systems and building controls Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and materials Good organizational skills and attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions Basic computer skills for paperwork and documentation Valid driver's license preferred Job Duties 40% - • Assist with daily HVAC and control system repairs and service work • Support technicians on job sites as needed • Clean, organize, and maintain the warehouse and work areas • Fetch tools, equipment, and supplies for technicians and job sites - (Essential) 40% - • Help track inventory and restock materials • Complete basic paperwork, work orders, and documentation • Follow safety procedures and standards at all times - (Essential) 20% - All other duties as assigned - (Essential) Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
