Role DescriptionWe are seeking a part-time hybrid Accounting Assistant, based in Littleton, CO. The Accounting Assistant will support financial operations including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, managing accounting records, reconciling accounts and month-end closing processes.Responsibilities:Account Payable: Weekly preparation of payments, filing and vendor verificationsAccounts Receivable: Record daily financial transactions, tracking incoming payments, weekly 3rd party invoicing and CollectionsProcess and monitor customer payments: Ensure that customer payments are recorded accurately and in a timely mannerReconciliations: Assist with daily reconciliations of cash, credit card, and bank accounts.Month-End Closing: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.Process Customer Returns: Weekly process refunds from customer returnsAssist and update all accounts payable records as well as ensure year end 1099’s are accurate to send by year-end deadline. Assist with expense reports and employee reimbursements monthlyMaintain accurate financial records and documentationProvide support during audits and financial reviewsServes as a backup to other team members on the Finance teamPerform other clerical duties as assignedRequirements of all Employees:Use your best efforts and full capability daily to do the work assigned to you by your manager.Advise your manager if you do not understand the work they have assigned to you, or if the assignment does not fit with your knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time and resources.Advise your manager of any situation or obstacles that could keep you from accomplishing the work assigned to you.Advise your manager of any situation or opportunities that could help you complete or improve the work assigned to you.Demonstrate work behaviors consistent with the company values and work within prescribed boundaries, including company policies, standards, or procedures.Seek special consideration from your manager when unable to work at your best.Job Specific Requirements:Education: Minimum Associate Degree Preferred1 or 2 years Accounting office or accounting experiencePreferred experience with Acumatica SoftwareExperience with Microsoft Suite specifically Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communication and problem-solving abilitiesPhysical DemandsStanding, walking, and sitting for long periods of time.Typing on keyboardSpeaking and hearing.Using hands to perform tasks.Working in a typical office work environment.Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
