Job DescriptionIntegrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Normal, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Ultrasound TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 9 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary:Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations to obtain diagnostic and therapeutic results under the direction of a radiologist.Prepare patients for procedures and ensure quality care throughout the process.Essential Functions:Conduct ultrasound procedures for patients of all ages, ensuring accurate and complete examinations.Demonstrate competency in imaging required views, anatomy, and pathology.Prepare and utilize appropriate equipment, including transducers and machine settings, to enhance image quality.Assist radiologists with invasive procedures, including biopsies, and maintain sterile fields.Document patient history, process images, and ensure timely reporting to physicians.Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, reporting issues as needed.Train and guide fellow technologists and students on department protocols and procedures.Ensure patient flow and efficient care by managing scheduling and data entry in the HIS system.Required Education:Associate's Degree in Sonography or Radiology.Certificate of completion from a Radiologic Technology program.Required Certifications & Licensure:Basic Life Support (BLS).One of the following ARDMS certifications: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-NE, or RDMS-PS.Required Skills & Experience:Basic reading, writing, and oral English skills.Critical thinking and independent judgment for decision-making.Ability to maintain confidentiality and project a professional demeanor.Customer-focused with multicultural sensitivity and effective communication skills.Basic computer knowledge and ability to interact with diverse individuals.QUALIFICATION/LICENSUREWork Authorization : US CitizenPreferred years of experience : 2 yearsTravel required : No travel requiredShift timings : DaysRightSourcing IHS Job ID #37278124.
