The technician will perform job duties independently with limited supervision mentor and assist vehicle technicians as needed, complete Commercial Customer asset PMs and Repairs at remote Commercial Customer work sites. Must be equipped with personal hand tools, (removed box tools are stored in Service bed of truck).Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform basic electrical, mechanical diagnostic, and repair of customer vehicles and equipment,including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipmentAbility to diagnose and repair automatic brake systemsMaintainaccurateparts inventory,researchesand resolve all discovered inventory discrepancies,and notifymaintenance management when a resolution is not availableMaintain the cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, perform other tasks asdeterminedand requested by managementServe as a mentor for VehicleTechnicians B and C, may perform other duties as assignedPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesBasic skills in welding and cutting torch operationBasic diagnostic tool skillsBasic Computer knowledgeProfessional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customersAbility to schedule and prioritize daily tasksThe technician needs to provide their own toolsAbility to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructionsTools, equipment, machinery and, or materials usedOperate power, hand, diagnostic tools, and material handling equipmentMust be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractorsMust be capable of driving and working out of a mobile shop truckMust be able to work a exible schedule and potentially be able to vary the start and nish times including weekends and holidaysMust be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to stand and walk for shift assigned must be able to work out in the elements at commercial customer work sitesAbility to work remotely at various commercial customer sites without direct supervisionMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GEDKnowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experienceD.O.T.
