Campus Store - Student Position
Sussex County Community College is seeking a professional, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our Campus Store team. The Part-Time Campus Store Employee member will provide exceptional service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while contributing to a welcoming and well-organized retail environment.
To be considered for this position, you must be a current active SCCC student.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about supporting student success, communicates clearly, and works well in a collaborative setting. This part time position will be scheduled for approximately 10-24 hours per week during the spring semester.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable assistance to all customers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment to enhance the shopping experience.
Process sales transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Follow procedures for organizing merchandise and maintaining accurate inventory control and record keeping.
Assist with stocking shelves and displaying products in a neat and visually appealing manner.
Work collaboratively with other store employees to achieve common goals.
Adhere to all store policies and procedures.
Report any inventory discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any questions, concerns, or operational needs
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a student at SCCC
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population in a welcoming and respectful manner.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
