Prep Cook Hostess

Food Service Worker This position is responsible for assembling and passing meal trays and snacks to patients, guests and employees. This position functions as part of a team that ensures safe preparation and delivery of food to patients within 45 minutes of the order being placed. This position quality checks all hot and cold foods to ensure they are correct as ordered, rotating into a one-person line, working both sides as necessary during slack times and performing all necessary prep cook work. Picks up patient meal trays/food trays and scraps, return trays during clean-up. Is responsible to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment. Responsible to inventory and replace patient unit food and supply stock to maintain sufficient stock for patients per protocol. Assists in our Caf# with retail merchandising, up-selling, proper sanitation, and other duties as necessary to provide quality food and quality service at a #10# level. This position works the lunch and supper meal period. Attends staff huddles and tastings held daily. Provides quality food for patients, guests, or special functions at a #10# level, follows culinary standards, department protocols, follows HACCP guidelines (receiving, preparing, serving, storing) or as directed by supervisor, cooperates effectively within the department, is adaptable and flexible, arrives at sound decisions, uses approved scripting, handles complaints appropriately and offers service recovery as needed. Must obtain a current Henry County Food handler card. Able to read, write, make simple calculations. High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
