The successful candidate will complete field work, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments/Investigations and preparation of Remedial Action Workplans. The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and writing skills are critical.Recent College Graduates Encouraged to Apply!What You'll DoParticipate in all aspects of site investigation and remediation, from the proposal stage, through preparation of workplans, conducting field work, and writing summary reports, to final remedial documentsField work will include oversight of subcontractors, including drillers and other laborers, during soil boring advancement, monitoring well installation, excavation activities, and remedial construction activities; and sampling various media including soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapor and airPerform Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM E1527Prepare summary reports including reviewing laboratory analytical data; interpreting and tabulating data and preparing tables; soil boring logs; figures; and textMinimum QualificationsBS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Enviornmental Science or related environmental degreeMust possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record, and be willing to travel and conduct field workExperience working effectively with team members as well as independentlyStrong quantitative/math and analytical skillsCore competency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detailMust be able to wear a respiratorMust pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to DOT regulated random drug testingPreferred QualificationsExperience performing Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations, including soil, sediment, soil vapor, air and groundwater samplingWorking knowledge of NJDEPKnowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation and sampling, and research and documentationOSHA 40-Hour Training and 8-hour refreshersAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
