Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an Onsite Audio-Visual Support Technician with customer-facing solid abilities. This candidate will support all audiovisual needs and end-user technologies for the Turnpike Enterprise Headquarters Complex in Pompano, FL. This position will support all audiovisual needs and end-user technologies and provide services that include equipment installation, equipment set-up, testing, technical documentation, and training. Excellent customer communications skills combined with solid AV technical background are required. This is not a Help Desk or Customer Support role handling calls for Network, Desktop, or other IT issues. However, knowledge in these areas as they relate to Audio Visual and video conferencing support is required. This position REQUIRES an in-depth understanding of AV technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and Test Audio-Visual equipment and work with developers to ensure system features and software work as expected.
Provide routine and emergency maintenance services for all conferencing systems
Responsible for creating/tracking Property Management Reports (PMRs) for IT equipment transfers / relocation
Establish, conduct, and document scheduled monthly and weekly system tests
Responsible for identifying AV hardware and software needs.
Responsible for Troubleshooting Tier 3 level AV problems
Responsible for coordinating the use of Audio-Visual equipment with Tier 1 teams and providing documentation.
Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments
Responsible for Connecting, managing, and monitoring the Audio-Visual video teleconference bridges
Responsible for reading and following the Department’s Procedures and Policies
Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Department’s Policies and Procedures
Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues
Responsible for traveling to remote sites to resolve IT-related issues and to deploy resources
Responsible for tracking incidents in the service desk ticketing systems Perform other related duties, as assigned
Ability to lift to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM to & 6:00 PM Monday through Friday with after-hours on-call rotation assistance in the evenings and weekends. Also, remain flexible to work other hours as assigned for business continuity.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Knowledge of Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Polycom & Cisco equipment
Crestron, Extron, and CTS-I certifications preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge of multiple Virtual Meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and Adobe Connect.
Excellent communication skills

Dimensions: Education:
Associate Degree or Technical Institute Degree/Certificate in Audio-Visual technologies or related fields, or equivalent work experience
Experience: At least 5 years of customer-facing experience and a minimum of 3 years IT-related experience.
Complexity: Works independently or on a team. 10% Travel
