Accounting Analyst - Lafayette, INOur growing, private equity-backed, niche market manufacturing client, headquartered in Lafayette, IN is actively searching for an Accounting Analyst. The main functions of the Accounting Analyst are to gather, verify, and consolidate global finance information. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for accuracy and communication of subsidiary company financial statements, review of consolidated financial reporting packages, cost accounting analysis for all sites, certain General Ledger activity and proper adherence of internal controls. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. Accounting Analyst Key Responsibilities:Be the bridge for our Global finance leadership team, interacting and supporting our subsidiary finance management staffValidate and Analyze subsidiary financial statements, General Ledger accounts and ad-hoc reportsPreparation and accuracy of global consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company standardsPrepare and present insightful KPI analysis to support global leadership in decision-makingApply analytical skills to interpret financial results, determining issues critical to the success of financial operations and identify opportunities for cost productivity across the organizationAssist with maintenance of financial models and reporting automation to drive business decisions and continuous improvement to finance tasksDevelop a network of contacts across the company to benchmark and implement best practicesFurther develop and maintain Global Accounting Policies and Standard Operating procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain internal controls, and compliance with relevant legal regulationsProvide additional support and cross-train with other finance positions to develop adequate back-up when necessaryAssist with standard company data entry for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and/or Treasury Management functions, Payroll, and General Ledger functions.Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and implement solutions to any relevant audit findings.Accounting Analyst Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related degree2+ years' manufacturing accounting experienceProven experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing settingFinancial analysis ability such as return on investment, IRR, NPV, and payback analysisExperience working with ERP systems and Reporting systems like Adaptive Insights, Tableau, PowerQuery, PowerBI, and/or SQL a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills for working with and explaining financial data to employees at a variety of levels in an organizationStrong interpersonal skills in engaging with others and learning their area of the businessAbility to work in and lead team projects when needed cross functionally within the businessStrong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findingsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyExpert at proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Strong understanding of General Accounting (GAAP, IFRS) and Cost Accounting principlesHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain strong controls environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- ability to work with information and technical earning agilityA meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy with an ability to see the big pictureMotivated Self Starter with excellent organizational and time management skillsFor more information, please submit a confidential resume to melva@mriz.net Melva Lowry1531 W.
