Title: Tool Maker ISummary: Performs preventative maintenance and operational inspection of hard tooling.Duties and Responsibilities:Applies basic and some intermediate skills to perform functions in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to the position within assigned areaResolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levelsDisassembles and maintains plastic injection molds.Inspects molds for damage during preventative maintenanceUses hand tools for careful disassembly/reassembly of moldsMay Operation of forklift to retrieve/replace molds in rackMaintains activity logsScopeEntry-level job with little or no prior relevant experienceWork is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomyDuties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detailEducation and Experience* High School w/1 + years' experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/0-1 years' experiencePhysical demands and abilitiesAble to lift up to 35 poundsAble to stand for entire shiftRegularly performs repetitive tasksRegularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelySpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.All Employees Shall:Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirementsReport to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazardsAttend scheduled EH&S training programActively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plansRecommend improved EH&S practicesMust be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties.
