Estimator project manager

Job description:Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager with a strong background in commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and ceiling systems. This role is responsible for both pre-construction estimating and post-award project management to ensure successful project delivery from bid to closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating:Perform quantity takeoffs for drywall, framing, and ceiling systemsPrepare accurate and competitive bids using plans and specificationsSolicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricingIdentify scope gaps, RFIs, and value engineering opportunitiesMaintain and build relationships with GCs and clientsProject Management:Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeoutPrepare submittals, RFIs, and project schedulesCoordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliersTrack project costs, budgets, and change ordersEnsure projects are completed on time and within budgetConduct site visits and progress meetings as neededQualifications3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, framing, and/or ceilingsStrong understanding of construction drawings and specificationsExperience with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-motivated with attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience working with union labor environmentsKnowledge of specialty ceilings and architectural systemsExisting relationships within the Michigan commercial construction marketPreferred experience with On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBidApplicable field experienceCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonusesHealth benefitsPaid time off and holidaysBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offRetirement planWork Location: In person
