A high-mix manufacturer, that has doubled in size in the past two years, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. Organization produces mission-critical components for electrical, defense, medical, and transportation markets and known for engineering excellence, quality and a strong, collaborative culture.Manufacturing EngineerThe Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with the production team, quality team, and other key functions to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality in the cast resin manufacturing process. You will work with a cross-functional team to identify and act upon process improvement opportunities, ensure robust manufacturing procedures/documentation, support new product launches, and leverage our new state-of-the-art casting equipment to maximize value for our customers. Position will report to the Director of Engineering and become a critical part of the engineering and production team.Responsibilities:Creation/Implementation of Standard Work, PFMEA’s, Control Plans and other Manufacturing Process DocumentationMaintaining manufacturing documentation (drawings, BOM, standard work, etc.) in the ERP system for new and existing productsRoot cause and corrective actions to drive process improvement and elimination of wasteDesign and execution trials/experiments to develop manufacturing technologyDesign and manufacture/procurement of fixtures, tools, and other such items to support and improve the manufacturing processCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing area layouts which support efficient and repeatable execution of the manufacturing processLeverage manufacturing and materials expertise to develop the next generation of products in mission critical applicationsRequirements:BSc in Engineering. Mechanical, Material, or Electrical concentration preferredMinimum 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering or a related fieldExperience with SolidWorks or similar CAD softwareExperience with root cause analysis and related toolsExperience with SPC and related methodsUnderstanding of Lean PrinciplesDesire to grow and acquire new skills/certificationsCollaboration and Interpersonal SkillsProficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
