Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Gensco, a regional leader in sheet metal manufacturing, is looking for a self-motivated, trainable up and coming Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our Swing Shift Team in Tacoma, WA!Duties & ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and systems including:Electrical Systems: basic understanding of high/low voltage distribution, control circuits and data/signalMechanical Drive Systems: gearboxes, belts, pulleys, shafts, bearings, and conveyorsHydraulic Systems: pumps, hoses, cylinders, valves, and fittingsConduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance serviceMaintain equipment by completion of preventative maintenance and repair/replace defective parts when neededPerform routine repairs and maintenance on plant facilities and industrial manufacturing equipmentOperation of machine/equipment for testing, diagnosis, and preventive maintenanceAdjustment and calibration of machine/equipmentRead and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsUse hand and power tools to perform basic fabrication and carpentry, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, air conditioning, and plumbing repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facility**Training Schedule** - during 2 month training period will be working on day shift from 6:30am-2:30pm, then transition to swing shift after trainingEducation/Experience/SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required1-2 years of mechanical experience with electrical experience preferred1-2 years of related experience required to include working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systemsSome experience and ability in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and maintenance techniquesMust have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and conceptsBe able to work with each department to provide support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved with a reliability mindsetRegularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds using proper lifting techniquesAble to work at heights up to 30 feetAble to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a dayAbility to work overtime as neededComprehensive and competitive benefits package includes:Healthcare coverage of medical, dental and vision available first of the month following date of hireDiscretionary Profit Sharing401(k) Retirement PlanAnnual Holidays: 6 Paid Holidays and 2 Paid Floating HolidaysPaid Vacation (Full Time Team Member Accrual: First 12 Months - 40 hours, Year 1-5 - 80 hours)Tuition reimbursement for 2-year and 4-year degree programsLife Insurance, Voluntary Supplemental Life InsuranceLong-Term Disability, Voluntary Short-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program
