Asphalt Plant Assistant Operator

Job Description Location: Ennis, TX 75119 Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (DOE) Asphalt Plant Operator Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Batch Maker to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and packaging materials according to established specifications and guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and the ability to operate various machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. Duties Prepare raw materials for batch production by measuring, mixing, and handling materials in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport materials to and from production areas. Fabricate components as needed for batch processes while adhering to safety protocols. Ensure compliance with CGMP regulations throughout the production process. Monitor batch processes for consistency and quality, making adjustments as necessary. Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following Lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency. Collaborate with laboratory personnel to conduct quality control tests on batches as required. Assist in inventory management by tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies. Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with CGMP regulations is highly desirable. Skills in materials handling, including the safe operation of forklifts. Experience in fabrication processes related to batch production is a plus. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Basic machining skills may be advantageous for certain fabrication tasks.
